Gifted singer & songwriter Gugu Mdladla, known to her fans as ‘miss g’, is releasing her debut album titled “Pearls to Pigs”, treating music lovers with a love-filled and soulful album.
The 33 year old singer from Swaziland, bred in Zimbabwe, however now based in South Africa, is set to drop the album on 3 November through a launch event at Centurion Theatre.

Pearls to Pigs is a canvas that details miss g’s love journey having experienced falling in and out of love, heartaches, and healing. “I lived every high and low on this album and so there is that musical integrity there that I am proud of. I am also very proud of having written all of the original songs on there. I believe in the power of words and I like to engage audiences in the lyrics to my songs to ensure that they all catch the spirit or essence of what each song means,” she says.
Miss g is no stranger to wowing and dazzling music enthusiasts following her previous electrifying live performances at some of the popular festivals and music showcases such as the State Theatre’s Mzansi Fela Festival, Winnie’s Soul & Jazz Club, Market @ the Sheds, and State Theatre’s Rendezvous Theatre, to name but a few.
The album launch show promises to be yet another special musical experience for fans as miss g aims to share her heart and soothe the soul of her supporters with her rich melodies. The show will start 19:00 PM at Centurion Theatre, Pretoria.
