Feather Awards nominated–radio presenter/ TV personality Leroy Marc of TransAfrica Radio isn’t just a pretty boy with muscles, he actually has some brains.
Having completed his articles of clerkship in January 2014 and serving his last rotation in the General Insurance Litigation Department at Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa, Marc took the brave decision to drop it all to pursue his love for showbiz. I had a chat with the public figure and this is what he had to say…
What prompted you to switch from the legal industry and pursue your passion in entertainment?
Nothing really did, I had the ability and don’t get me know I love being a lawyer. When I was 4 years my mother put me in ballet, when I was in school I was part of the drama team. I saw an opportunity and simple went for it.
Tell us about your feather award nomination, where you expecting It or did it come as a surprise?
I actually wasn’t expecting it, I was sitting next to Lumko Johnson at the time and he happened to be the person who did the voice over during the screening of the nominations. I heard him call my name, when I turned to ask what he wanted he didn’t know what I was talking about as he didn’t call my name. When I looked up, I saw my name on the screen. I was just attending the event because I’m friends with the event organise.
