Durban-based isicathamiya group, Thee Legacy (consists of Khanyisani Mazibuko, Philani Duma, Emile Ngcobo, Simphiwe Sikhakhane and Jabulani Mthembu) as The Sing Off SA Season 1 overall winner.
Having recently completed their self-titled debut album Thee Legacy, the group release their latest single Wena Wedwa, a follow up to their debut Sthandwa Sami which crowned them the Inaugural Winners of The Sing Off South Africa 2015.
The Durban based accapella group categories their style of music as contemporary isicathamiya. Partnering with musical maestro Victory “Vix” Chauke from Music Craftman to create the remix of Wena Wedwa distinct R&B and afro beat sound style.
Last year October the group amped their presence in the industry when they released self-titled debut album ‘Thee Legacy’.
Thee Legacy have just debuted the music video to their radio chart topping single Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) which you can check out below:
Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) music video provides beautiful imagery to a soundtrack that has become a favourite for many South Africans nationwide as is evident with the radio spins this single has enjoyed where it peaked at #8 on the RAMS Chart making it the 8th most played local radio single in the country at the time.
Thee Legacy’s Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) music video debut comes off the back of their double Metro FM Music Award (MMA16) nominations both in the same category for Best Remixes for their smash hit singles Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) and S’thandwa Sami (Mr Kamera Remix); making them the only artists to receive more than one nomination in the same MMA16 category this year.
Wena Wedwa (MusicCraftMAN Mix) was further selected as the soundtrack to the Simba Mapha TVC.
