Times Media conducts a fairly extensive survey each year in the area of youth brand preference and consumer behaviour. This year, Nike walked away with three awards at the annual Sunday Times Generation Next Awards held at the Sandton Convention Centre last night.
Nike again took the top spot in three major categories, named the Coolest Footwear Brand, the Coolest Clothing Brand as well as the Overall Coolest Brand.
Started in 2004, Times Media has commissioned HDI Youth Marketeers to conduct the Generation Next Survey which polls youths aged 8 – 22 on what they believe to be “cool” or aspirational. The survey is conducted across more than 70 categories to determine the youth perception of brands, products, and celebrity.
