The month of May is known as Africa Month and superstar Kelly Khumalo will get the continent dancing with her new single titled “Dance Africa”, which is taken from her latest offering/album “My Truth”, released in 2016.
Dance Africa is an upbeat song, written and sang beautifully in Pidgin English, where the songstress sings about making you dance and feel good. Kelly has decided to release the song in efforts of uniting the continent and reminding Africans that we are more alike than we are different.
“We are a diverse continent that is rich in ethnicities, colour and languages, it is important for us Africans to all take pride in who we are as African individuals AND as one African community. We need to learn to celebrate each other and what we represent. Yes, we are human and we will make mistakes but, we should always aim to spread love, peace and unity, as we can achieve a lot more when we work together”, the star says.
Kelly plans on highlighting the sad reality that our African brothers and sister face on a daily base through xenophobia attacks and discrimination, and she hopes that through song and dance she will bring awareness to these issues which affect all of us. Kelly has called on her fans to help her spread love and happiness by taking a video of themselves dancing to the hit single, posting on social networks, tagging Kelly Khumalo and adding an emoji of the flag from their respective countries.
