GUIDE: How to use South African Twitter ‘productively’ on daily basis

Twitter has become a popular platform to use on daily basis, either you want to check what your friends are saying, your fav artist is ranting about or catch up on news. But what are some of the most productive activities you can do on this platform?

Well, below is a list to guide on how to use Twitter’productively’ on daily basis:

Raising awareness about crime and violence

Twitter has become a very useful tool to raise awareness and alert people about crime activities, reporting a missing person or a stolen car. We recently saw how the hashtag #KaraboMokoena made a huge buzz, and went as far as raising the awareness about violence against women. People have been posting missing people and with a bunch of ReTweets they’re able to get the message across. Not sure how tagging @SAPoliceService can help, the account normally will post about the discoveries and arrests. But as far as getting the word out there simply put ‘RT for awareness’ at the end of your tweet, and get few friends to ReTweet you.
