Black Coffee and Jullian Gomes win big at the 1st Dance Music Awards SA

Last night saw the winners of the first official Dance Music Awards South Africa being announced at a prestigious closed ceremony in Boksburg, Ekhuruleni.

Winners were voted for online by the South African public over the past few weeks. These favourites were recognised at an honouree dinner in their name last night, and attended by winners, their industry peers and selected media.

These awards were initially announced to the media in July 2017, where fans could nominate their top 5 favourites. This was followed by a finalist selection running for the past month online ending last week. The online votes were tallied up by an independent auditing company and the winners announced as below.

An additional award ‘Pioneers of House Award’, an award which pays homage and gives recognition to a legendary dance artist was also added to the list of winners.
