We know how companies are sensitive and very confidential when it comes to unreleased products, especially when its a big deal. And that’s what an employee at Apple Inc. learned the harsh way.
The company had to fire one of their engineers after his daughter posted a video showing their latest model – iPhone X before the launch date (03 November 2017).
On the below video, the daughter explains that she decided to do a hands-on video of the iPhone X (for fun) while she was at Apple’s cafétaria and it all came as a surprise when the video went viral and even made it to YouTube’s Trending list. After the video got so much attention, Brooke reveals that she was asked by Apple to take it down, which she did.
“Apple asked me to take it down and I took it down right when they asked me to because I respect Apple. I had no idea that this was a violation. He takes full responsibility for letting me his iPhone X. Apple let him go. At the end of the day when you work for Apple it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are, if you break a rule, they have no tolerance.”
