HMD Global, the maker of Nokia seems to be enjoying the idea of taking us back.
Last year they brought us a revamped 3310 model and this year they’re hooking us up with The banana phone. Yes, for 2018 they will relaunch the Nokia 8110, also known as “Matrix” phone (it appeared in the actual film “The Matrix”).

The new 2018 version model supports 4G and it comes with its own app store, includes Google Assistant, Smart Feature OS powered by KaiOS, Google Maps and yes it has Facebook and Twitter app (No WhatsApp unfortunately). It has a 2MP camera with 512 RAM and 4GB of storage.

Nokia 8110 will come in two colours: Black and Banana Yellow. For those who want to get their hands on the device, can do so when it arrives in May 2018, local pricing to be announced later.
