Lyrical TiP aka Sam Beckett has released a new Ep project titled ‘Crowd of 12’.
The tape pays homage to the intimate crowds he has performed for and is also an ode to the 1206 Crew.
The man of the moment has proven his incredible lyrical and technical ability on many occasions but this project marks a ground breaking milestone for TiP from a sonic perspective where he is able to capture an authentic feel in the music. In addition, the audio snippets in between tracks provide a dreamy feel and allow the listener to literally take a walk inside the music and the essence behind it.
The project is quality from beginning to end. Apart from the relentless pen game being evident in every verse delivered, the eyes of the ears would say that the music is of a west coast landscape with soulful elements in the back drop. There are a number of singles off the project that have made waves namely ‘Cul de Sac’ and ‘Panties’ where TiP’s lyrical prowess and musical ability sparked rave reviews.
His most recent single, ‘Game Down’ featuring Obe Bomaye, has received incredible reviews from quality music connoisseurs. An honourable mention would be ‘Skyf’, which is known to shut down every live performance by TiP as soon as the baseline and sinister piano chords hit.
