Still going hard with their collabs, and now on the third instalment – Skepta’s Air Max Deluxe SK released this past weekend at Shelflife in limited quantities.
Paying tribute to his relationship with New York, the Air Max Deluxe SK features a black neoprene base expressing a VHS static pattern decorated with “NEVER SLEEP ON TOUR” and “12:05 PM JUNE 08 2014” OSD mono font text. The text on the upper of the shoe commemorates the time and date Skepta released his breakout single “That’s Not Me” and reveals an ethos that informs his work ethic. Rounding up the design of the shoe is the contrasting dark red tinting found on the full-length Air unit sole system.
Accompanying the Nike Air Max Deluxe SK is the two-piece Nike Track Suit in black. The collaborative black track jacket features the Nike x Skepta “SK Air” logo with a ½ zip opening and “Never Sleep On Tour” embroidery inside the collar. The shiny top comes with a tonal track pant, which features 2 side zip pockets, elastic cuffs and the “SK Air“ logo on the left hip.
For another exciting episode of our RELEASE REWIND, we were out at Shelflife Store (in Rosebank) to capture the behind the scenes of the release.
