Confirmed! SABC 3’s ‘Real Talk’ has been cancelled

SABC has confirmed that ‘Real Talk’ has been cancelled and won’t be renewed for a new season.
Last year a report revealed that SABC is cancelling the show because of the financial struggles they’re going through. Furthermore, it’s revealed that the show has not been pulling impressive viewership since Anele left, and that has led to sponsors packing their bags.

SABC has confirmed the end of the show with a below statement:

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) would like to announce that SABC 3’s talk show programme ‘Real Talk’ will not be returning for a 5th season, when the current episodes of ‘Real Talk’, which are repeat episodes conclude. The decision was taken following the new direction which the channel will be taking.

Azania Mosaka stepped in as the host of the show (June last year), after Anele Mdoda resigned.

The show has recently brought A-list local international celebrities and personalities. Bonang Matheba and DJ Zinhle made it to the show for the first time months back. Other interesting personalities that recently made it to the show include; Katherine Kelly Lang known as “Brooke Logan”, Boity Thulo, Xolani Gwala, Masechaba Ndlovu, DJ Tira to mention a few.
