TRACE is looking for a PR & Social Media Intern

TRACE is currently looking for a PR and Social Media Intern to join their office team.
The selected person will be managing the company’s social media accounts, creating content and articles for social accounts. They will also be responsible for collecting statistics and data and assist with shoots for content creation.

Start Date: ASAP (6 months paid internship)
Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg

Requirements
· Team player
· Excellent English writing and speaking skills
· Understanding of social media content management
· Understanding of the following Social Media platforms:
· Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
· Understanding of blog content management
· Willing to learn and start at the bottom
· Can work under pressure
· Creative thinking
· Willing to work after hours and weekends when needed
· Can work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Execute effective Social Media Community management skills for all the social media accounts of the company, using the tone and style of each account appropriately, whilst maintaining the highest level of professionalism in full knowledge that you are representing a brand to a unique audience. Assist in management of SEO.
• Create, write, and edit copy for social accounts and other projects as deemed necessary by the company.
• Strategise and take a hands-on approach in all creative briefs, meetings and documents relating to the social accounts applicable to the company.
• Write appropriate & relevant articles for all social accounts associated with the company. Provide content for the Star newspaper (weekly page) and for the on-air show #DYK.
• Assist with drafting press releases
• Monitor all social media platforms when instructed and to report any discrepancies, issues and/or concerns to the head of social media
• Assist in the collection of statistics and data for weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and miscellaneous reports as per the instruction of the line manager
• Carry out miscellaneous and on-the-spot tasks and instructions as delivered by the line manager
• Relieve and assist the Receptionist as and when required
• Assist with shoots for content creation (event coverage)
