‘Empire’ will end after Season 6

Fox will wrap up its hit series ‘Empire’ after Season 6.
Yes, you heard it right. Empire will be ending after Season 6.

And there are still no plans to bring back the character played by Jussie Smollett, who was written out. Smollett character on the series has been written out of the final two episodes of Season 5, which ended earlier this month.



Season 6 will only air next year (2020) and will have 20 episodes.

Jussie Smollett was charged with 16 felonies after it was revealed that he had staged the attack himself, but later all the charges were cleared.



Empire stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Byers, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Serayah, Xzibit, Rumer Willis, Andre Royo, and Terrell Carter. Guest appearances include Demi Moore, Forest Whitaker, Alfre Woodard, Taye Diggs, and Phylicia Rashad.
