Hilltop Live in association with Amstel Lager and Ligwalagwala FM presents the inaugural Mbombela Music Festival 2011. This new family-friendly outdoor music spectacle will take place on the 9th of July at the Lowveld Botanical Gardens, in Nelspruit, in the heart of the Mpumalanga province. Hilltop Live’s 17 years in existence has proven to be passionate about live entertainment Festivals. Partly funded by Brandhouse (Amstel) and Hilltop Live, the inaugural Mbombela Music Festival serves as a launching pad for this long-term music initiative. The concert is designed as one of the highlights on the Nelspruit cultural calendar. The event is presented by Hilltop Live in association with Ntheteng Events.
This concert will be presented as a one day, single stage festival with multiple prominent artists on the bill. Ligwalagwala FM is the official exclusive radio partner. The Mbombela Music Festival is an event that promotes and supports South African talent and is proud to present South Africa’s leading artists, Zakes Bantwini, Professor, Afro Pop King Theo Kgosinkwe and Hip Hop trio Teargas. In addition to the array of established national artists, a selected number of locally based artists (including DJs/personalities from Ligwalagwala FM) will be included in the festival line-up, therefore creating an area representative programming. A line up of Mpumalanga DJ’s namely, DJ Chrizozo, DJ Madumane, DJ Stax and DJ Stoko will also be performing. The above line up of eclectic, celebrated artists will sure thrill the crowd at the Mbombela Music Festival. The festival aims to bring music to the fans.

Doors open:11h00, the show starts at 12h00 and ends at 23h00. A Bar and a food stall will be available at the venue. Glass (it will be confiscated), alcohol, braai’s, domestic animals, weapons and illegal substances are not allowed into the venue.
