SABC2’s youth show HN9 (previously more known as Hectic Nine-9) will turn 1 000th episodes old on Monday, 26 September and will celebrate the programming achievement on the day with a special hour long episode starting at 16:00 on SABC2.
Zandile Nkonyeni, SABC 2’s Publicity Manager said, “Hectic Nine-9 has, for years, been a place where the new-age youth come together and, for the past 1000 episodes, the show has produced content that has cemented its position as the pillar of the Q-base28 youth slot. The one hour long episode is SABC 2’s gift to the South African youth for continuing to tune into HN9 and for making the show the success that it is today.”
In the usual Hn9 style, the line-up is going to be jam-packed and so is the studio! With an uber-sized audience of Hectic friends and fans, reappearances by old presenters and a jaw-dropping array of live performances, from the likes of Mathew Moolman, Hot Water and the electric dance crew, Africa Ablaze, it’s no surprise that the Hectic Team says they could have easily filled 2 hours!
Producer, Wilna van Schalkwyk said, “Over and above these performances, a definite must see will be the five-tiered chocolate celebration cake, very kindly provided by Lindt. Dripping with 1 000 Lindor chocolate balls, it’s going to get everyone’s mouths watering!”
But the fun and action won’t only be restricted to the studio as the viewers at home will get the chance to be a part of the celebrations too, with the chance to play to win some great prizes. Throughout the hour, the Hn9 team will be connecting with fans across the country and around the world via the phonelines (083 913 3011) website (www.hn9.co.za), mobisite (www.hectic99.mobi), Facebook page and Twitter (@hecticnine9, with a special celebration hashtag #hectic1000).
