Following the sold-out once-off concert in Cape Town in August, Johnny Clegg will bring his 30th anniversary concert back to Johannesburg in November.
The original Juluka band will be reunited for this show only, performing the hit songs of Juluka and Johnny Clegg spanning his 30-year career on Saturday 5 November at Centre Court at Emperors Palace.
The show will feature dancers and audio visual footage starting from Johnny’s early years to present day.
By bringing together African music structures with Celtic folk music and international rock sounds, Johnny pioneered a new and unique sound, establishing himself as South Africa’s biggest musical export. From Europe to the States, from Australia to Potchefstroom, audiences in sold out venues have danced to “Cruel, Crazy Beautiful World”, “Crocodile Love”, “I Call Your Name”, “Take My Heart Away”, and “African Sky Blue”.
