American RnB sensation and Grammy Award winner, John Legend will be coming back to South Africa this year for a One-night only performance.
The nine-time Grammy Award-winning superstar will be perfroming at Sandton Convention Centre on the 10th August 2012. The event was confirmed by Metro FM’s presenter T-bo Touch.

Speaking to the media, Tbo-Touch said:
“We are celebrating the Launch of a foundation with a two-hour performance from the soul singger and his full live band. We are super excited about him coming to SA”
He Tweeted: This John Legend is the 1st of its kind. A live show 23piece band very intimate @ Sandton Convention Centre. Only 1000 tickets at R2000
The Concert will be part of the launch of a foundation set up by the Minister of Sports and Creation, Fikile Mbalula. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds will benefit.
T-bo Touch also mentioned that guests are expected to adhere to the black-tie dress code. Its for special reason, T-Bo Touch explained.
“We want to break the Guiness World Record for the most people in black tie at a single event,” he said. Its expected that Legend will take requests from his audience so he can perform those songs on the night. Legend’s popular appeal.
Among the Hit Single he is known for are Ordinary People, Save Room, and Green Light.
