Kaizer Chiefs will look to break their losing streak and dent the Absa Premiership title ambitions of Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night. The teams meet at the FNB Stadium.
Chiefs suffered a third successive league loss when they succumbed 2-1 to SuperSport United on Saturday night.

The Soweto giants have recorded seven wins, one draw and four losses from 12 home matches this season.

The Amakhosi are placed sixth on the Absa Premiership log with 40 points from 26 matches.

Sundowns won their first home match since November last year when they beat Santos 3-1 on Sunday.

The Pretoria team has the best away record in the league, with eight wins, five draws and just one loss from their 14 matches on the road.

The Brazilians are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 49 points from 27 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and Sundowns have met in 53 league games since 1985.

The Amakhosi have 21 wins to the Brazilians’ 17, while 15 matches have been drawn.

Chiefs have claimed 14 wins from 26 home matches against ‘Downs and suffered just four defeats.

When the teams met earlier this season in Pretoria, Chiefs won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Sweswe.

Kick-off at 20h15.
