SABC’S Radio 2000 the leader in providing listeners with live coverage as it happens is embarking on using their collective talents to compose two original Happy Birthday songs for Madiba.
This will be in preparation for the statesman’s 94thbirthday; the Song will be to honor the memory and legacy of Nelson Mandela. He has given so much to South Africans and the world at large having spent 67 years collectively of his life in prison fighting for the liberation and freedom of South Africans.
With Radio 2000 recording two ‘Happy Birthday’ songs; listeners can expect to hear celebrities such as Loyiso Bala, PJ Powers, Blondie Makhene and Ziyon from Liquid Deep to name a few.
Radio 2000 and SABC staff will also be singing along to the song. The rights of the song will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
