Three of Mzansi’s brainiest are counting down to Saturday, 20 October, the day they find out which one of them has won the hottest gig in music and youth TV: the 2012 MTV Base VJ Search.
The Grand Final will be broadcast on MTV Base, channel 322 and e.tv on Saturday, 20 October at 18:05.
Going head-to-head in the last stage of the TV talent search are Communication Sciences student, Nomuzi Mabena; Film, Media and Politics student, Naledi Radebe; and Accounting student, Nomzamo Mbatha.

Taking place on Saturday, 20 October at the Johannesburg club, Taboo, the MTV Base VJ Search Grand Final will see Mabena, Radebe and Mbatha go through their paces in front of celebrity judges Bonang Matheba, HHP, Azania Mosaka and Tim Horwood.
Among the celebrity artists appearing on the MTV Base VJ Search Grand Final will be L-Tido, AKA and Toya Delazy, who’ll be performing some of their hottest tracks, and helping one of the gals achieve her dreams of stardom. Veteran MTV Base VJ Sizwe Dhlomo and e.tv presenter Mo Flava will share emcee-ing duties at the gig.
The ultimate victor will join Dhlomo on MTV Base’s in-house talent roster, presenting her own show on MTV Base and featuring regularly on e.tv’s top music show, Club 808, alongside Dineo Ranaka and Mo Flava.
