Award winning TV drama series, Intersexions ll which premieres tonight (Tuesday, 12 February) at 8:30pm on SABC1, will feature more than a hundred new actors and actresses that were cast, including five new and fresh faces chosen from more than 5000 budding actors and actresses who turned up for the open auditions in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban auditions.
The Intersexions audition process had various stages of judging which were overseen by panels comprised of actors, directors, drama professors and theatre television professionals from cities across the country. Industry professionals included Noxee Maqashalala, Thato Molamu, Sdumo Mtshali, Winne Modise, Kgomotso Christopher, Wandile Molebatsi, June van Merch and Tina Jaxa.
The final cast was selected by Nikiwe, episode directors and SABC representatives.
There are five new cast members from the open auditions playing lead roles:
1. Amanda Mbatha
She plays as Busi, one of Sdumo’s lovers in episode 12.
3. Ncibijana Madlala
He plays the team soccer coach to Two Step (Abdul Khoza) in Episode 6.
4. Phila Madlingozi
He plays a lead role as Zolile in episodes 1, 2, 24 and 25.
5. Zola Nombona
She plays as Shado, Rosie’s quirky and fun cousin in Episode 5.
Famous faces will include:

– Tina Jaxa
– Luthuli Dlamini
– Sizwe Msuthu
