uCANDOit!, an initiative driven by kwaito king, Arthur Mafokate, in partnership with CAN DO! (Nampak Bevcan), are scouting for fresh young musicians and dancers in search of the next big South African music sensation.
Open auditions for the show were held at Bassline in Newtown, Johannesburg recently where more than 2 500 eager hopefuls auditioned for their big break.
Mafokate and his surprise guest judges including Kelly Khumalo, Luthando Shosha, Chomee, Jamela, Jodi Gold, Penny and Nomsa Madida, scouted for talented dancers, singers, rappers and musicians who have what it takes to participate in the uCANDOit! reality show.
From these auditions, twenty five finalists will be selected to enter the CAN DO! Academy, where they will receive musical training through vigorous challenges and collaboration with industry role models.
The brand new SABC1 reality talent search, will hit screens every Tuesday evening from 7 May at 22:00.
The winning group will be guided and supported in their new careers with a cash prize of R150 000 and a recording deal from Universal Records.
