Leading female artist and songwriter Zonke has announced details for her upcoming show at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City.
Booked for Sunday the 2nd of June, Zonke will be performing with a 20-piece band and performing all her original work on stage to what will no doubt be a sold out audience. The show will be recorded live and produced for her upcoming DVD release, ‘Give And Take’. The DVD will be Zonke’s first personal release on her brand new label, Leely Music.
Reigning at the top of her game, Zonke has become one of the leading voices and producers in female Afro-soul as well as one of the biggest hit-makers for other artists.
The past 15 years have seen her go from an emerging artist to a superstar and, after having left the KalawaJazzmee stable to start her own recording studio and label, Zonke is more sought after as a producer and performer than ever before.
After the recent success of her last album Ina Ethe, which sold multi-platinum instantly, Zonke has approached a new chapter in her life, choosing to record and produce for artists she believes in and grow her own career organically.
The show at the Lyric Theatre is her first show in a while that she has produced for her fans exclusively, rather than performing on existing bills. Zonke has a strong hand in the creation and production of the event and the DVD that will emerge from this show is guaranteed to be immense high quality entertainment.
