iFani has been invited to perform at the inaugural South African Arts Festival taking place at the California Plaza in Los Angeles this tomorrow, Saturday, 5 October 2013.
The festival is sponsored by the Arts and Culture Department and presented by Grand Performances. The festival will showcase local films as well as six other local musicians namely: Hugh Masekela, Mahotella Queens featuring Jozi, Simphiwe Dana, The Soil, Wouter Kellerman and The Parlotones.
iFani departed for Los Angeles last night and shared the following sentiments: “I’m extremely grateful and honoured by this once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase my music in the United States. It’s a huge step closer to my dream of taking Xhosa Rap to the world”.
