South African television presenter, model and actress “Pearl Thusi” is leaving SABC1’s highest rated lifestyle and entertainment Saturday show “RGB”.
“I absolutely loved my time on RGB. I have had an incredible journey and everyone at the show has been amazingly supportive with my decision to move on. I am not saying goodbye, just see you soon. I have so many great things going on at the moment that I had to make a tough decision on what to focus on. I feel that I’m leaving a stronger and better show,”
remarked Thusi.
“We are definitely sad to see Pearl leave RGB. She is a great talent with many exciting opportunities that lie ahead for her. We and our viewers are going to miss her, but we are continuing to work with her on other projects, so the future is most certainly looking bright,” commented Dichaba Phalatse, SABC1 portfolio marketing manager: Entertainment.
The channel has announced that Sinazo Yolwa and Amanda Du Pont will be joining the RGB team as co-presenters alongside host, Phat Joe Kambule, to provide the show with a wider variety and in-depth interviews. More changes on this lifestyle and entertainment show will be communicated in due time.
Thusi joined RGB in early 2012 and her career opportunities soon expanded to include being a co-host on SABC1’s Live Amp and earlier in 2013 decided to follow her passion back to acting by landing a role on SA’s long running soap – Isidingo.
Thusi will still be seen on RGB until the Saturday, 9 November and Yolwa and Du Pont will make their very first appearance on the show on Saturday, 16 November.
