Limpopo’s Hottest Frequency Capricorn FM celebrates its 6th anniversary on 26 November 2013.

To celebrate their birthday, the station has planned a number of activities such as, The Annual Golf Day, Gala Dinner, MTN Limpopo Music festival, Shisanyama Family day and loads of gifts will be given away on air to listeners.

For all music lovers young and old, the Polokwane Rugby Grounds is the place to be on 23 November 2013. The most urban music festival in the Limpopo Province is proudly presented by Capricorn FM, MTN and White Star, gates open at 12:00 mid-day.

“We are thrilled to be able to present to the people of the Limpopo province and visitors such a wonderful group of groundbreaking artists, which is especially suited to this festival,” Cyril Chetty, Managing Director of Capricorn FM says. “Fans of the stations and music lovers should look forward to a fun-filled weekend, boasting top notch entertainment from the best of South Africa’s music talent that is on offer.”

The MTN Limpopo Music Festival sponsored by MTN in association with White Star is an initiative by Capricorn FM, Limpopo’s Hottest Frequency, to promote and celebrate South Africa’s diverse musical talent.

“MTN is committed to connecting people of Polokwane to their passions and it is indeed fulfilling to be part of this graceful event in an area where MTN has invested heavily towards the upliftment of Limpopo. Capricorn FM’s Music Festival is undoubtedly Limpopo’s number one festival where the people of Polokwane can experience various entertainment options and is an illustration of our passion about creating platforms which enhance our consumer’s lives.” says Ryan Gould, MTN South Africa General Manager: Brand and Communications.

This unmissable musical treat, in its fifth year running, will feature performances that will range from traditional Mbaqanga; upbeat Kwaito and Hip Hop tunes; and electrifying Afro-Jazz.

The performances of the day will include the legendary Hugh Masekela, Thandiswa Mazwai, Oliver Mtukudzi, award winning Khuli Chana, Donald, Dr Malinga, DJ Ganyani and many more – all united in singing songs that are uplifting, stirring and soul-nourishing.
