Pinky Thembelihle Qwabe better known as “Philomela” is a true artist at heart. She’s an Afrojazz/Afrosoul vocalist and has recorded a house track Single, she’s a contemporary dancer and an aspiring actress.
She’s a Drama graduate who studied at Durban University of Technology. She majored in Singing, dance and script writing. She’s a lyricist and a composer. Philomela means Lover of music and she is so passionate about Music, art in General. She understands that passion alone doesn’t cut it. Passion entails hard work and determination.
Philomela started singing and performing at a very young age. In 2003 she was selected to travel all the way to London”Leeds” in order to perform in a dance festival.
