THE SHOWDOWN POLOKWANE – A HIP HOP EASTER PILGRIMAGE!
As Cashtime Life our continued vision is to push youth lifestyle and shift culture forward by using music to touch the hearts and souls of South African youth across the country. In our continued quest to pursue this philosophy we have decided to expand the highly successful ‘The Showdown Hip Hop Festival’ brand, concept and experience to other provinces outside Gauteng.
The Showdown Hip Hop Festival has had a successful five-year run in Gauteng; the show has been hosted in both Johannesburg and Pretoria. As of this year, there will be three Showdown festival and they will be hosted in Polokwane, Durban and Johannesburg.
The first event will be held on 19 April at Magalakwena Beach Pub in Mokopane, Polokwane, Limpopo. For this edition of the festival we have partnered with the highly successful ‘Annual Limpopo All White Easter Festival’, an event that draws a crowd of between 5,000 and 10,000. For the first time ever the festival will feature non Hip Hop acts namely DJ Tira, Black Motion and Donald. The three acts are currently all hot in the market and are embody our philosophy of shifting and pushing culture forward.

The Showdown Durban event will be on the 4th of July and annual Showdown Hip Hop Festival in Jo’burg will be held on the 26th of October.
