The much loved gospel talent search programme, I WANT TO SING GOSPEL returns with a brand new show and all things new in its exciting upcoming season.
SABC2 is thrilled to announce the return of I WANT TO SING GOSPEL season 3 starting Thursday, 27th March 2014 at 19:30.
Introducing Salamina Mosese as the new host. Known for her feisty character on 7de Laan as ‘Nthabiseng Masilo’, Salamina ventured into the entertainment industry at the age of 14. Presented shows like Craze Games on SABC2 and Top Billing on SABC3.
On the judges seats, owner and founder of Big Fish Music, Sipho “The Big Fish” Makhabane, Award winning gospel artist Ntokozo Mbambo and one of the best producers in the gospel music industry Tshepo Ndzimande take on the daunting task of finding South Africa’s brand new gospel sensation.
Music maestro Lindelani Mkhize returns to the show as the show’s talent scout and music mentor to the contestants.
The audition process kicked off in November 2013, searching for talent in East London, Durban and Johannesburg. Hundreds of aspiring gospel singers registered to audition in this year’s competition with only 15 regional contestants being selected to battle it up in Johannesburg to realize their dream of being South Africa’s next gospel star. The contestants will go through 13 weeks of grueling competition, in a bid to impress the judges and the viewers at home.

The Prize
The winner of the 3rd season of I Want To Sing Gospel will walk away with a prize money of R200 000.00 and a lucrative recording contract deal.
