Earlier this month I told you about a young boy named Dlozi Ndaba, one of the children that Coca-Cola® is sending to the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil for the COPA Coca-Cola programme.
Coca-Cola® chose a group of football playing teens through COPA Coca-Cola for a life changing experience that involves exclusive training from top international coaches, cultural outings, and the opportunity to get involved in the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil.
Seeing as though we are both Kaizer Chiefs fans, I spoke to Dlozi earlier today and he told me that they had landed in Brazil and were overwhelmed with excitement. This is the first time that most of the kids have travelled outside of South.
On arrival Dlozi enjoyed a spectacular welcome party known as the “White Party”. Dlozi seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed this. Everyone got fully kitted out in all white attire and celebrated their safe arrival and plans for the next few days. The best part of the Coca-Cola White Party was that Dlozi and the other South African boys were able to meet kids from all around the world, all with one thing in common – a passion for football.
I’m looking forward to updating you on Dlozi again soon. If you want to know how his life is going to be forever changed, keep reading YoMzansi, and follow @CocaCola and the #WorldsCupZA hashtag for more on his journey.
