After a four and a half day Voting period, it was Team Robbie who were crowned the winners of Clash of the Choirs Season 2, and reclaimed the title from last Season. Perhaps Anele was right in Episode 8, when she joked she also wanted to drink the water from that province…
They have worked extremely hard, put on amazing performances every week, and now, walk away as the deserving winner. See more of their choral journey here… how they have grown! Doesn’t it leave you absolutely amazed?
In a star studded finale, we saw the return of former Gauteng Choirmaster, Zakes Batwini performing “She Stole my Heart” with this year’s Western Cape Choirmaster, Ziyon; Mandoza and MXO kept things cool while Donald managed to serenade the winning Choir, amidst the fanfare and euphoria.
But how magical was that opening with the Top 3 Choirs and Choirmasters, Mandoza, and MXO, taking on “Nizalwa Ngobani” from Thandiswa? Just wow!
Other performances of the night included our Choirs, taking to the stage for the final time with:
Team Moneoa (Mpumalanga):
Too late for mamma – Brenda Fassie
The way kungakhona – Bongo Maffin
Team Robbie (KZN):
Not yet uhuru – Letta Mbuli
Lahl’umlenze – Thandiswa Mazwai
Team Shugasmakx (Gauteng):
Papa stop the war and We miss you Mandela – Chicco Twala
Mari ye phepha & Khona – Bongo Maffin and Mafikizolo
