Telkom confirms that line rental prices will increase from 1 August 2014, while ADSL rates will remain unchanged
Telkom customers will pay more for their analogue telephone lines from 1 August 2014 as part of the company’s annual tariff adjustments.
Residential customers will pay R166.50 for their line rental from next month, while business customers will pay R239.
The business line rental will include 100 minutes for free – 50 Telkom to Telkom on-net and 50 Telkom fixed to Telkom mobile.
These free minutes, however, are not applicable to business customers with calling and/or discount plans (with the exception of XtraTime and SurfAnytime) and unused minutes will not be carried over to the following month.
Good news is that DSL prices will most likely stay the same for 2Mbps, 4Mbps, and 10Mbps services.
The following table provides an overview of the new line rental prices which Telkom customers can expect to pay.
Price on 1 August 2014 (Including VAT)
Telkom residential line rental From R157.00 to R166.50
Telkom business line rental From R216.00 to R239.00
