Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the presence of Togolese international striker Francis Kone in their camp, as they look to reinforce their striking department ahead of next season.
AmaKhosi’s search for a good reliable striker continues, and the Naturena-based outfit has now invited the Ivory Coast-born attacker for an assessment.
According to the Chiefs website, the 23-year-old joins another foreign attacker Ovidy Karuru, who is still being assessed by head coach Stuart Baxter and his technical team.
Kone, whose full name is Francis Koné Kouassi, currently plies his trade in the Oman Professional League for Al-Musannah.
The big striker who stands at 1.89 meters, won the 2009 Thai Division 1 League Foreigner Player of the Year after netting 13 goals in just over 20 matches for Thailand side Nakhon Pathom United.
Chiefs recently turned down Ghananian striker Mike Mohammed, who underwent trials under the watchful eye of their British mentor Baxter.
