Multiple-Award winning artist, Khuli Chana, has been nominated for an African Muzik Magazine Award (AFRIMMA) for Best Male Southern Africa. The award ceremony will take place this Saturday, 26 July 2014, at the Eisemann Center in Dallas, Texas.
Khuli Chana is also set to perform at the award ceremony and represent South Africa as he is the only South Africa nominee attending.
“We are pleased that Khuli Chana’s outstanding talent is beginning to be recognised on a regular basis outside of South Africa. Proof positive that good music is a universal language!” shares Refiloe Ramogase, Director at Dream Team SA.
The AFRIMMA nomination is Khuli Chana’s third non South African based award nomination this year. It follows his Black Canadian Awards – Best International Act nomination and his MTV Base Africa Music Awards – Best Hip Hop nomination.
“I’m excited for this trip and to be sharing my talent with the rest of the world. I’m looking forward to represent South Africa on stage on the 26th of July in Dallas, Texas” expresses Khuli Chana.
Khuli Chana will head off to New York after the awards ceremony and do some studio time there and will be back in the country in early August.
