Goal took a look at the PSL transfer news making headlines in the past three days.
Pirates scout Pakamisa
News coming out of Zimbabwe is that Orlando Pirates are keeping tabs on Dynamos forward Washington Pakamisa. According to the Zimbabwean Herald, the Buccaneers are impressed with the marksman and have been looking at him for the past two seasons now. The 29-year-old played a sterling role in Dynamos winning the Zimbabwean championship last season. With his goalscoring exploits, he has carried that form into this season and that has alerted Bucs to speed up their approach for him, as they seek to shore up their goal-shy attack.
Free State Stars sign Namibian internationals
Free State Stars have signed two Namibian internationals in Angula Da Costa and Hendrik Somaeb. The latter, who is a striker and a fearsome one at that, according to reports back home, joins Ea lla Koto on a three-year deal while his counterpart Da Costa. The latter is a defender who joins on a two-year contract. Both join from Nambian champions Black Africa. They now also team-up with their countryman Rudolf Bester, who recently joined on a two-year deal following his departure from Orlando Pirates.
Khune: I am going nowhere
Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana skipper Itumeleng Khune discloses that he is staying with the Amakhosi this season. There have been reports that he will go off to the Bundesliga with Hannover 96 his destination, but he has come out to repuditate all that. His contract with the Glamour Boys runs out at the end of this season.
Chippa snatch Komane
Newly-promoted Chippa United have signed Thanda Royal Zulu skipper Chris Komane on a two-year deal. He joins the likes of Tsepo Motsoeneng, Manti Moholo, William Twala, Siyabonga Zulu, Joseph Molongoane and Bheki Nzunga, to mention but a few . Others like want-away Bidvest Wits forward Erwin Isaacs is set to join as well.
Gege out to Israel!
Clubless Soriola Gege is on trial in Israel with well-known outfit Maccabi Netanya. He was released by Free State Stars at the end of last season after three frustrating seasons on the fringes. The Nigerian-born player is now looking at a move to Eastern Europe to revitalise his once promising career. Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic are the ones on the local front touted to be interested in his services as well and they could very well cash in on him if things in Netanya go pear-shape.
