One of Mzansi’s talented actor – Tony Kgoroge has scooped an award the at Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) .
Tony was named the best actor at the festival which took place on 27 July. The award was based on his role on the local film Cold Harbour.
Tony made Variety’s list of South African talent poised to break out in 2010, after a fiery performance as Nelson Mandela’s bodyguard in Invictus, opposite Morgan Freeman. He’s familiar with international audiences for his co-starring roles in Skin, opposite Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, and The First Grader, opposite current Bond girl Naomie Harris.Next up Tony plays former ANC Secretary General Walter Sisulu in Mandela, opposite Naomie and Idris Elba.In COLD HARBOUR, Tony plays Sizwe Miya, an ambitious township cop who uncovers an abalone smuggling scheme while investigating a Triad murder.
