Channel O shutting down in other African countries

Well some sad news rather…Africa’s leading music television ‘Channel O’ is cutting off it’s broadcast (Channel O Africa) in other African countries after serving the continent for almost 20 years. Channel O will only broadcast for South African viewers from 01 April. The feed for Channel O Africa will be taken over by Africa Magic and this will become the channel that will air African music.

Now the most interesting question now becomes, will now the Channel O Africa Music Awards be focused on Mzansi content only? Guess will have to see when the news surface on this awards ceremony.
