Mzansi Magic continues to dish out local production and this time it’s a brand new drama series ‘It’s Complicated’. This drama series follows the lives of seven Jozi characters who are dealt with life challenges while they are busy making plans. Confronted with the choices of love and marriage, family and friendship, loyalty and expectation, they face off against the future.
IT’S COMPLICATED is produced for Mzansi Magic by Fuzebox Productions, featuring the stellar cast of Fikile Mthwalo (Ipeleng), Siyabonga Radebe (Thato), Thishiwe Ziqubu (Ntandokazi), Samela Tyelbooi (Mandisa), Motlatsi Mafatshe (Thabang), Pabi Moganedi (Matli), Atandwa Kani (Vumani) to name a few.
The story begins with perfectionist Ipeleng questioning her seven year relationship with Mr nice guy, Thato. She is pressured by her mother to get married and fears that time is running out.
As Ipeleng and Thato search for answers, so does girl next door Mandisa who quits her steady job to follow a dream. Her bold move weighs heavily on her relationship with her live-in boyfriend, hustler Thabang, whose promising potential must now translate into real tangible success. Can true love survive against all odds?
One person who doesn’t understand the fuss when it comes to matters of the heart is a good time social butterfly and celeb wanna-be, Matli. As life happens, the three women find themselves in a sisterhood of sorts.
Rounding off the world of It’s Complicated is good-looking and arrogant Vumani, a football star who judges all women on the standard set by the money-hungry mother of his only child. Bad-boy Vumani is a self-confessed womaniser and he’s not planning to change his ways any time soon. But, faced with the possibility of a career-ending injury and the prospect of life off the field, he is forced to re-evaluate what he once thought he knew, with surprising results.
