After being announced as part of the new cast of ‘Generations The Legacy’ in 2014, Denise Zimba is leaving the soapie. The news were confirmed by the soapie with a statement on their website. Denise who played a role of Mary Gumede, has asked to be released from her contract as she’s moving on to pursue other interests.

It is sad to announce the departure of Mary Gumede who is played by Denise Zimba from Generations the Legacy. Denise Zimba has asked to be released from her contract as she’s moving on to pursue other interests. It is unfortunate that we have to bid farewell to a character that we have all grown to be fond of. Denise is a very talented artist and we sure she’ll do remarkable work in the industry.
The creator of the show Mr Mfundi Vundla shares the same sentiments We enjoyed Denise’s short stint on The Legacy. Her professionalism in aiding us mount a new show was exemplary. We wish her the best in her endeavours he said.
