The countdown has begun for MTV’s most outrageous music awards ceremony, the 2015 “MTV Video Music Awards” (VMA). The “MTV Video Music Awards” will air live across Africa on MTV (DStv channel 130) from the Microsoft Theater in LA, on Monday 31 August at 03:00 CAT (official pre-show starts at 02:00 CAT; the primetime simulcast takes place on MTV/MTV Base at 20:00 CAT (pre-show) and 21:00 CAT (main show).
Performers confirmed for the show include Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Bruno Mars and The Weekend. Further performers are due to be announced the week of the show.
The world’s biggest stars compete each other to win the infamous ‘Moonman” trophy – reimagined this year by world-renowned fashion designer Jeremy Scott – complete with sneakers, peace sign jewelry and rainbow-hued makeover. Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé lead the pack with the most nominations for 2015 “MTV Video Music Awards” nomination.
