Well alot of people might be curious on how much it really costs to study in a university in South Africa. Last week we heard about the massive strike by Wits students over a proposed 10.5% increase in fees. News channel eNCA revealed the infographic which shows different fees for different universities. Let’s have a look:
Registration Fees
The amounts listed above are university registration fees, also known as upfront tuition payments. They are the most recent fees listed on the universities’ websites for 2015 and 2016.
The Unisa registration fee is per module.
Bachelor Degree Fees
The amounts listed above are the fees for the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts and Social Science degrees. They are the most recent fees listed on the universities’ websites for 2015 and 2016.In terms of the BSc degree for the Universities of Pretoria, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal, the fee of the most expensive BSc was included as they didn’t have the fee for a general degree listed.The University of Fort Hare was not included in this chart because their fees were not listed on their website.
