MTV Base will for the second year reveal a list of this year’s hottest Mcs featuring a panel of industry experts.
Scooped by Cashtime Life’s K.O. in 2014, “SA’s Hottest MC’s 2015” will be chosen by a group of 7 tastemakers and industry heavyweights participating in an intense roundtable discussion. Panellists, who will judge artists on a range of criteria including sales, style, impact, lyrics, buzz and other intangible factors, will be revealed at a later date. Sizwe Dhlomo will host.
SA’s Hottest MCs” (Part 1) on Thursday 26 November will count down from 10 to 6 of the top 10 Hottest MCs. “SA’s Hottest MCs” (Part 2) on Friday 27 November will continue the countdown from 5 to 1. The full top 10 countdown will air as on Saturday 28 November at 11:00 CAT as part of the “Hottest MCs Takeover Weekend” on MTV Base.
