It was a great Saturday afternoon as Metro FM’s Tbo Touch and South African Minister of Sport and Recreation Fikile Mbalula led their teams out on the court in the first NBA Celebrity Game Presented by Ford at BET Experience Africa. Both teams featured the following celebrity rosters:
Team Mbalula : Dj Akio, K Naomi, Stilo, MKay Fresh, Siyabonga Ngwekazi, Dash, ShugaSmaxx & more
Team Touch : Mpho Maboi, Patty Monroe, Morgan Gould, Quinton Denysse & more
Former NBA All-Star and 1992 Slam Dunk Champion Cedric Ceballos and South African sports and lifestyle presenter Minnie Dlamini were the hosts. The Philadelphia 76ers Flight Squad entertained the fans at halftime with aerial dunk display.
The full of excitement matchup ended in a tie in regulation, with Team Touch stealing a victory in overtime. Team Touch won the game with Ricky Rick named the Most Valuable Player.
