Finally, Netflix is now available in South Africa

After years of rumours and talks, finally the on-demand Internet streaming service – Netflix ihas launched in 130 countries including South Africa.

The announcement was made by Netflix’s Chief Executive Officer – Reed Hastings at the 2016 CES Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas on Wednesday. ‘Today, I am delighted to announce that while we have been here on stage at CES, we switched Netflix in Azerbaijan, in Vietnam, in India, in Nigeria, in Poland, in Russia, in Saudi Arabia, in Singapore, in South Korea, in Turkey, in Indonesia, and in 130 new countries,’ Hastings said.

Currently the service is priced at a subscription fee of $7,99 per month through www.netflix.com/za

Netflix is currently on 70 million subscribers from 60 countries who enjoy 12 billion hours of movies, series , that’s according to Hastings.
