Mzansi Magic’s telenovela ‘The Road’ to be taken off screens

Mzansi Magic’s telenovela – ‘The Road’ which made a debut last year (2015) in August is to be taken off screens.

It is not yet revealed why, but few reports claim this is due to low and poor viewership figures.

The news were confirmed by Kutlwano Ditsele of Bomb Productions (which produced ‘The Road’) in an interview on YFM on Monday afternoon. With a total of 128 episodes, ‘The Road’ is expected to air till 31 March 2016. On it’s first week of airing it scored an estimated 437 000 viewers compared to last month with a low 128 000 viewers, DRUM reports.
