Talk radio station, POWER 98.7 has announced changes to its on-air line-up effective Monday, 29 February. The station is entering its third year of operation and has grown into a key player in the South African radio landscape.
The key changes include the move of
– Lawrence Tlhabane from Power Perspective (weekdays 21:00 to Midnight) to Power Breakfast (weekdays 06:00 to 09:00)
– Tlhabane will partner with well-renowned broadcaster Ayanda-Allie Paine
– Current Power Breakfast host Tim Modise will move on to focus on his business interests and community development work, amongst others, through Soweto TV
– Iman Rappetti will continue presenting Power Talk (weekdays 09:00 to Noon) followed by Jeremy Maggs (weekdays Noon to 13:00)
– Aphelele Somi who currently presents Power Weekends (Friday and Saturday 18:00 to 21:00) will be the new presenter of Power Lunch currently presented by Thabiso Sikwane
– Hajra Omrajee who is currently co-host of Power Drive (weekdays 15:00 to 17:00) with Thabiso Tema will no longer co-present the show as she moves to focus on her role as the station’s political editor.
– Andile Khumalo, host of Power Business (weekdays at 17:00), Victor Kgomoeswana host of Power Hour (weekdays at 18:00) and Masechaba Ndlovu host of Power Life (weekdays 19:00 to 21:00) will continue in their current shows
– Power Perspective (weekdays 21:00 to Midnight) currently presented by Lawrence Tlhabane, will see the introduction of a new voice on the station inauthor and commentator Onkgopotse JJ Tabane
