American entertainment company, Live Nation Entertainment has purchased controlling stake from one of SA’s major event promoter – Big Concerts. Known for flying-in international acts to perform in Mzansi, Big Concerts will continue to run under the leadership of Justin van Wyk (CEO) and Attie van Wyk (Chairman).

Our entry into the South African market through the acquisition of Big Concerts expands Live Nation’s global footprint to 38 countries and brings live entertainment at scale to a new continent,’ says Michael Rapino (Live Nation Entertainment president, CEO).
Live Nation Entertainment was formed from the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster. It owns, leases, operates, has booking rights for and/or equity interest in a large number of U.S. entertainment venues.
Big Concerts has brought big names from 1Direction, John Legend, Rihanna, Usher, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, ColdPlay and more. Their 2016 line-up they will bring Lionel Richie, Josh Groban, George Benson, Mariah Carey and more.
