South Africa’s highly revered Easter 2016 celebrations will coincide with Joyous Celebration’s 20th Anniversary release. Recorded live at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Dec 2015.
The release on 3CD and 2DVD captures both the enormity of the space in which it was recorded, the magnificence of the performers, as well as the fever pitch excitement shared among the capacity audience.
Joyous Celebration 20 has all the makings of a monumental recording captured for all to experience over and over again. The release of Joyous Celebration 20 signifies a national event as much as it is aligned with a spiritual one.
This anniversary release also represents a milestone for each and every performer that has ever had the opportunity to perform with Joyous Celebration. Artists such as Sbu, Mkhululi ,Xoli and Puleng to name a few of the current cast as well as the alumni cast favourites such as Swazi Dlamini, Margaret Manthata, Vicky Vilakazi, Steven Molakeng, Brian Temba and Brenda Mtambo among others, put on a sterling presentation on the day of the recording.
Joyous Celebration will launch their 20th Anniversary recording on 25, 26 and 27 March at Carnival City.
