After announcing DJ Speedsta as a member of VUZU AMP earlier this year, South Africa’s favourite urban youth channel revealed three more faces that will join the family. Nomuzi Mabena popularly known as Moozlie, Dash from the hip hop trio Dreamteam and Shane Eagle.
Nomuzi Mabena popularly known as Moozlie will make her debut on VUZU AMP tonight. Moozlie will join DJ Speedsta , Lalla Hirayama, Dash from the hip hop trio Dreamteam and Shane Eagle.
Nomuzi Mabena is no stranger to the world of presenting having been a VJ before. Hailing from Benoni, she’s always believed that she was born to be in the entertainment industry. Alongside presenting she’s also a hip hop artist.
Moozlie took it to the gram to thank MTV Base :
“Tomorrow I start a brand new and exciting adventure but before I get into that I think it’s important for me to reflect on where it all started. On October 20th 2012 I won the @mtvbaseafrica VJ Search and my life changed forever. (All praise to the most high) From the moment I decided to stand in the line I knew the job was mine and I poured my heart and soul into every single minute of it.”
“If you had asked me as a kid if I thought it were possible I probably would have told you I’m only worried about getting on YoTV [sic] but I would be lying if I said this wasn’t a dream come true… And then some!! I remember when MTV was that dope music channel with the sickest shows that I watched at my friend’s house on weekends because we didn’t have a decoder back then. Fast forward a couple of years and that channel was my life.”
“I got to use my talent and love for African music and entertainment to take me all over the world. I met people from all walks of life and got to do things that most people couldn’t even dream of. I will never ever be the same again and I would like to the VIMN Africa and everyone at MTV Base and MTV for all that you have done for me.”
“I will cherish this experience forever and all the lessons and memories are engraved in my heart. I really could go on and on but in short, I am so grateful and so blessed to have been a part of this incredible worldwide brand.
